I am from odisha and some of my family members work under odisha forest dept.I can feel the problems what they face in forest like humn-animal conflict (basically elephant)etc,i have neighbours who work in forset dept as wildlife squad, during forest fire or any jungle related issues they have to go quickly irrespective of time(at mid night too). They face a lot of difficulties during their jungle visit. One day i asked a person how do you feel in forest (i mean any kind of insecurity or threat)? The person replied "yes there are lots of problem but the diverse nature of forest keeps us fascinating towards it,when we enter the forest we don't think to hamper the animals so for this GOD is also kind to us that we seldom get any threat from the wildlife animals".I know you might not relate this thing but as an eyewitness eye can feel their emotion with jungle and can realize how they really feel being in forest dept....#save forest and save the lives of millions.🌳🐘🌳

My father's patrolling jeep once felled down the river from the side of the forest road, while he and his team were still inside the jeep.
He had also once ambushed (kidnapped) by Naxalites, during a routine inspection of a forest canal or something. Fortunately he was freed and returned home safely after some govt negotiations.
He was also once held hostage by timber mafia.
Because of these reasons, his service was full of peril. He was provided with bodyguards with guns and 24×7 home guards.
His retirement was scheduled in Feb 2024.

High-pressure systems create a 'cap' that traps air in one place as it warms. this can lead to a heat wave. the high-pressure system pressing down on the ground expands vertically, forcing other weather systems to change course .. heat waves form when high pressure aloft (from 3,000-7,600 metres ) strengthens and remains over a region for several days up to several weeks. this is common in summer (in both northern and southern hemispheres) as the jet stream 'follows the sun'. A dome of hot air that traps the heat near the ground and prevents cooling convection currents from forming clouds. High pressure is caused by downward moving air. as air is forced downward, its pressure increases as it gets closer and closer to the surface because pressure decreases as you go up in the atmosphere.
A slower and weaker gulf stream current will carry less heat down to the deep oceans meaning more will enter the atmosphere.. there is a huge disruption of ocean currents by the slower and warmer gulf stream into which methane leaks underwater.. all other oceans depend on the gulf stream current‘s movement of heat energy, climates across the planet can be dramatically affected. the AMOC ( global ocean current conveyor belt ) is currently at its weakest point of the past millennium due to methane laden gulf stream current slowing down and becoming warmer . when amoc slows down, less heat is sequestered in the seas and so our land surface temperatures increase.. today the amoc is weaker by 25 % than what it was 120 years ago.. amoc is a massive global heat distribution system .. amoc weakening and slow down reduces the ocean's ability to absorb carbon dioxide, exacerbating the effects of climate change.. amoc shutdown will result in extremely rapid increases in global temperatures, since the churning ocean current would be less able to store heat in the deep ocean, releasing it onto the surface instead. the amoc has only been continuously monitored only since 2004.. amoc affects the indian monsoon.. the survival of india is at stake

He had also once ambushed (kidnapped) by Naxalites, during a routine inspection of a forest canal or something. Fortunately he was freed and returned home safely after some govt negotiations.
He was also once held hostage by timber mafia during night patrolling, because they were in 100s and he & his team was outnumbered and also were under-equipped to deal with them.
Because of these reasons, his service was full of peril. He was always surrounded by bodyguards with guns and 24×7 home guards at our residence.
But it was not enough as he was still constantly getting death threats, so we (his family) moved away to a different safer state & to this day are living a low key life.

Salute to these forest rangers. They should get more supplies and support while in jungle. They deserve more for guarding our beautiful flora and fauna. Hope government will do something for these underpaid ppl.

Thank You Brut for describing the total fact. As an ex-Forest Range Officer i know the immense pressure we have to go with limited resources. Salute to all my brothers and sisters who are still fighting to conserve the forest, ecosystem and environment.
